Meridiem St-Jérôme was developed at the same time as Meridiem Laval. Like the Laval facility, it has 80 rental units and several common areas: a modern gym, a well-equipped multipurpose room, and an outdoor area that includes a swimming pool, a dining area with BBQ, and a relaxation area.
The project features contemporary units with interesting additions, such as walk-in closets. The team was also involved in designing the outdoor layout and selecting furniture, prioritizing rain resistance and weight in their proposals.
Unlike the aquatic influence in Laval’s design, it is rather the wooded environment adjacent to the building that has been highlighted in St-Jérôme’s design, thus infusing the interior with the richness of the exterior vegetation.
The primary challenge in multi-unit buildings is selecting finishes/products that meet the needs and budgets of tenants, owners, and the property developer. Establishing standards that will be replicated dozens of times requires specific thinking and expertise in the multi-residential field.
