Vitrerie Landry is a family business founded in 1992 by its current owners. They offer their residential and commercial/industrial customers a wide range of glass-related products and services. Each of their projects is carried out professionally and efficiently, according to industry standards.
The construction of a new building would allow the owners to be more flexible in their operations and benefit from more space. In addition to assisting them with the exterior finishing choices for the building, our team of interior designers was behind the design of the showroom, which had to be the focal point, and the workshop.
The owners wanted an open-plan showroom with no fixed walls, allowing natural light to flood in, maximized by the building’s glass walls. The main challenge was therefore to develop a system that would allow the client to display its many products, particularly mirrors. The creation of sliding and pivoting panels met this need. The addition of wood and brick elements added a touch of warmth to the rather industrial decor of the space. In addition, great emphasis was placed on developing a multifunctional reception area (cash register and storage for small items). Finally, the workshop layout was designed to save time and movement. By incorporating height-adjustable furniture, at the customer’s request, and placing it near the drafting tables, we were able to provide a functional and productive space for employees who had previously raised this need.
The Vitrerie Landry project was carried out in close collaboration with the client team. Highly involved and very aware of their needs, this entrepreneurial family worked closely with us to develop an environment that reflects their values and showcases their expertise. To please the entire team, several industrial-style elements, such as the open steel ceiling, were combined with warmer materials (wood, brick). This project, which is set to be completed in the fall of 2020, brings together all the tools this family-owned glassworks needs to continue its success!
