The financial services firm Sylvain Arel Inc. (SFSA) chose to move into a new suite at Libertas III in St-Hubert in order to offer its clients a professional and trustworthy space that reflects the quality of its services. With this goal in mind, Cléo Katcho’s team set about designing the new spaces.
One of the main challenges associated with this project was the lack of natural light in the space, which was limited by its elongated shape and few windows. The selection of a pale color palette and the integration of glass transoms above the closed offices at the front and rear of the suite allowed natural light to diffuse throughout the space.
At the entrance to the space, our client, SFSA, wanted to be able to welcome its customers in a welcoming environment conducive to discussion. The design team therefore set about designing an entrance that would open onto a dining room and the adjacent conference room, resulting in a narrow space that felt more spacious and open.
By placing the dining room near the entrance and opening it up to the adjoining room, we were able to offer an integrated design solution that met both the space constraints and the needs identified by SFSA. In fact, the dining room, located close to the entrance, stands out for its multifunctionality, allowing the client to use it for a variety of purposes: informal meetings, small receptions, a rest area for employees, etc. This is one of the great strengths of our designs: the multifunctionality of the spaces we create.
